Oil slicks in the Cabo Blanco Sea are not related to Petroperú activities

- After oil slicks were reported near the PN14 platform, in the Cabo Blanco Sea (Talara, Piura), an underwater inspection was carried out that confirmed that the emanation comes from the seabed and has no relation to the operation of Lot Z-69.
- The company immediately notified OEFA, Talara Port Captaincy and Osinergmin, who are supervising the area.
- The PN14 platform has been inoperative since Petroperú assumed the administration of Lot Z-69. It should be noted that in this area there is a history of natural oil outcrops, previously reported to the OEFA by the previous operator.
- Petroperú maintains permanent coordination with the supervisory bodies, supporting the supervision and cleaning of the area.
