Osinergmin verifies compliance with new safety regulations at the Bayóvar Terminal

Petroperú received a visit from a technical team from the Energy and Mining Investment Supervisory Agency (Osinergmin) at its Bayóvar Terminal as part of a guiding inspection aimed at verifying compliance with the provisions of Supreme Decree No. 002-2025-EM, a regulation issued to strengthen safety conditions in submarine pipelines, maritime terminals, and hydrocarbon transportation and injection systems along the Peruvian coast.
During the day, the terminal's main facilities were inspected, including the ONP pumping control room, the tank farm, the crude oil loading and unloading lines, and the loading and unloading dock. The Petroperú team detailed the maintenance and operation work that ensures the terminal's proper operation and safety. Aldo Valer of Osinergmin explained that the objective of the inspection is to verify compliance with safety conditions, identify potential risks, and, if necessary, establish corrective and administrative measures in coordination with the company.
The Bayóvar Terminal is ISO 9001:2015 certified and holds various accreditations issued by the National Port Authority (APN), such as the Port Facility Declaration of Compliance (PDC), the Special Port Facility Certificate (SPF), and the Port Facility Security Certificate (PSSC), in compliance with the International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities (ISPS).
This visit reaffirms Petroperú's commitment to operational safety, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance, fundamental pillars of its management in the responsible transportation and handling of hydrocarbons.
