PETROLORETO S.A.C. joins as a strategic partner of PETROPERÚ in Lot 192
Through Supreme Decree No. 023-2026-EM, published on October 23 in an extraordinary edition of the official gazette *El Peruano*, the Executive branch approved an amendment to the License Contract for the Exploitation of Hydrocarbons in Lot 192. This amendment authorizes the inclusion of PETROLORETO S.A.C.—a subsidiary of Cheiron Holdings Egypt Limited—as a new strategic partner for PETROPERÚ.
Following the publication of the Supreme Decree, PETROPERÚ entered into partnership agreements (a Joint Investment Contract and a Joint Operating Agreement) for Lot 192 with PETROLORETO S.A.C. and PERUPETRO. These agreements establish the terms for the joint investment and operation of the field over the next 27 years.
Under the published decree, PETROLORETO S.A.C. will hold a 75% interest in the contract and serve as the operator of the lot, while PETROPERÚ will retain the remaining 25%. This partnership will drive operational recovery and the reactivation of oil production in this significant field in the Loreto region.
Through this partnership, PETROPERÚ makes progress in the process of restoring operations at Lot 192, with the goal of reactivating oil production, strengthening the national energy sector, and contributing to the economic development of the Loreto region.
