PETROPERU and the Ministry of Culture extend call to the PNC

Given the great expectation for the seventh edition of the National Culture Award 2018, and to provide greater opportunity to present candidates at the national level, PETROPERU and the Ministry of Culture announce the extension of the submission of applications until Tuesday, September 18.

It should be noted that the PNC is the highest award given by the Peruvian State to national people and organizations that contribute to the construction of identity, the promotion of creativity and respect for the country's cultural diversity.

Personalities such as Susana Baca, Carlos Germán Belli, Christian Bendayán, Julio Cotler, Gustavo Gutiérrez, Rodolfo Hinostroza, Francisco Lombardi, Gonzalo Portocarrero, Luis Quequezana and Edgardo Rivera Martinez have been recognized with this award; they, in turn, have contributed from their different branches of art and culture to the development of national identity.

The National Culture Award was started in 2012 and not only awards people, but also institutions that with their work generate an impact for national integration. This is the case of institutions such as the Asociación Arena y Esteras de Villa El Salvador, La Tarumba, the National Registry of Identity and Civil Status (RENIEC) and the Wiese Foundation.

This year the Social Sciences will be awarded in the categories of Trajectory and Creativity. Journalists, anthropologists, archaeologists, historians, sociologists, linguists, communicators, lawyers, economists, psychologists, educators, philosophers, among others, can apply.

In the category of Good Institutional Practices, all national, public or private non-profit organizations may participate.

Applications will be received until Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and the Decentralized Directorates of Culture throughout the country.
