Through the “Preventing Together” program, authorities, neighbors and journalists will learn how to act before, during and after an industrial emergency.

In order to strengthen the preventive culture of residents, authorities and journalists in the district of Pariñas, Talara, Petroperú will begin this week the training days of the “Preventing together” program.

This citizen participation and learning initiative is free to access and is executed in line with the safety system and international standards implemented in the new refining complex.

In the scheduled sessions, participants will be able to learn how to act before, during and after a possible industrial emergency, the evacuation plan for the areas surrounding the NRT, and strengthen the preventive culture through the formation of emergency brigades.

Local authorities and journalists will participate on specific dates, while Talara residents will be able to participate on the following dates and times:

As part of this program, two top-level industrial emergency drills will be carried out, which will recreate a scenario with dangers such as fires, explosions, spills or leaks of hydrocarbons or gases of great magnitude and in which it is expected to have the participation of the community.
