Petroperú Completes Its Fourth Export of Sulfuric Acid to Chile

Petroperú completed its fourth export operation of sulfuric acid to the ports of Mejillones and Barquito in Chile, strengthening its commercial operations in international markets and expanding the placement of refined products and derivatives.

In this fourth operation, the state-owned company exported around 19,000 metric tons (MT) of sulfuric acid using the tank vessel Concon Trader, under strict operational and logistical conditions designed to guarantee the safety, continuity, and efficiency of the product's loading and transport process.

With this new delivery, the cumulative volume of sulfuric acid exported by Petroperú since 2025 rises to approximately 75,000 MT. This result demonstrates the operational capacity of the Talara Refinery to meet international market requirements and back its processes through quality controls and laboratory certifications with international accreditation.

Expanding Export Portfolio

As part of its international commercial activities, Petroperú has been exporting fuels and derivatives to various international markets, strengthening its regional presence and generating new business opportunities.

From 2025 through 2026 to date, the company has completed exports of various products to countries such as Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Panama, China, as well as the Caribbean and the United States. During this period, operations involving over one million barrels of fuels and liquid derivatives were recorded.

These operations are part of the new business opportunities that Petroperú is developing in international markets by placing refined products and derivatives with commercial value, contributing to the comprehensive utilization of the Talara Refinery's operational capacity.
