Petroperú receives important award for music training program

For the third consecutive year, Petroperú received significant recognition, winning second place in the 2024 ProActive Awards for its Musical Training Program. This program strengthens the musical skills of students in public schools in the Villa El Salvador district, near the Conchán Refinery.

The five-year-old program, which has benefited more than 300 students, aims to promote values such as responsibility and discipline, providing teenagers with healthy entertainment and keeping them away from risky and vulnerable situations in their environment.

Furthermore, since 2023, the program has incorporated additional string instruments, such as the viola, violin, double bass, and cello, giving it a symphonic orchestral feel. This expansion seeks to introduce teenagers to classical music. In 2024 the program began in June and has been benefiting 70 young people from the educational institutions: Las Palmeras, Max Uhle, Jesús de Nazareth, Peruano Canadiense and Elías Aguirre, who will continue to develop their musical skills.
