Petroperú reports on fuel prices and supply in Ucayali

Petroperú reports on fuel prices and supply in Ucayali

In response to the strike announced by transport unions for this Monday, August 10th in Ucayali, Petroperú informs the public of the following:

  • Petroperú's fuel list prices are aligned with international benchmarks, which have seen significant increases in recent weeks due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East. This situation has been exacerbated by uncertainty surrounding the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the recent attacks on oil tankers in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. It should be noted that service stations affiliated with the Petroperú network are independent businesses that determine the final retail price, without Petroperú's intervention.
  • Regarding fuel supply in Ucayali, Petroperú has maintained the delivery of diesel and gasoline from the originating plant in recent days, allowing for the regular replenishment of inventories at the Pucallpa Sales Plant. Furthermore, it is important to note that sufficient inventory is available both at the plant and in transit, thus guaranteeing continuous delivery.
  • The company has the operational and logistical capacity to continue fulfilling fuel orders and meeting market demand in the region. Petroperú also continuously monitors the supply chain and coordinates with distributors, customers, and transportation companies to respond promptly to any contingency that could affect supply.
  • An additional scenario is evaluating the feasibility of using the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPC).

Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to promptly meet the demand for fuels in Ucayali and will continue to take the necessary measures to ensure supply in the region.
