This progress coincides with the measures implemented by Petroperú's board of directors and senior management since April of this year to strengthen financial discipline, optimize management, and consolidate the company's recovery process. Key actions include improved financial results, timely payment of financial obligations, continuity of operations, and the implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of the business—factors that have contributed to a more positive market perception.

The financial results support this trend. As of the end of May 2026, Petroperú recorded accumulated net income of US$248 million, strengthened its EBITDA, and in June made timely payments on the interest of its international bonds and the principal and interest on its Cesce loan, showing a significant improvement compared to the same period of the previous year and consolidating the company's financial recovery process.

The valuation of international bonds is one of the main indicators used by markets to assess risk perception and the financial strength of issuing companies. In this context, their performance demonstrates the confidence that international investors and creditors have shown in Petroperú's recovery process and in the actions aimed at strengthening its sustainability.
