Progress in the construction of the PMRT were presented at the Talara Engineering Association

An exhibition on the "Execution of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project - PMRT" was carried out by PETROPERU in the Engineers' Association of Peru, in the headquarters of said city, within the framework of the activities programmed by the Engineering Week.

The exhibition was under the care of the engineer Gustavo Villa Mora, Head of Processes of PMRT, who clarified doubts and concerns about this work, which to date has an integral advance of more than 75%. He said that this project will guarantee energy security in the country, will allow processing heavy crude oil from the Peruvian jungle and will produce more and better fuels.

Also, Villa Mora highlighted the technology transfer used in the construction of the work, which will lead to, he said, to environmental benefits and a reduction of health costs for citizens due to the improvement of air quality in the country.

For his part, the engineer Segundo Neira Falla, president of the Local Committee Talara-CIP, thanked the participation of PETROPERU, stating that the construction of the new Talara Refinery has generated economic dynamism at local and regional level, through the hiring of local labor and companies.
