Economist Oliver Stark is appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroperú

The General Shareholders' Meeting of Petroperú approved the appointment of a new Board of Directors, naming Oliver Thomas Alexander Stark Preuss as Chairman of the highest corporate governing body, effective August 7, 2026. The General Shareholders' Meeting also appointed César Burga Rivera, Daniel Cabrera Ortega, and Víctor Andrés Belaúnde Gutiérrez as new directors, and confirmed the continued membership of Carlos Adrián Linares Peñaloza on the Board. Likewise, the workers' representative on the Board, Néstor Herrera Guerrero, will remain.

Oliver Stark returns to Petroperú to once again assume the Chairmanship of the Board. He is an economist with a Master's degree in Finance from the Universidad del Pacífico and has extensive executive experience in the mining, industrial, and financial sectors. Throughout his career, he has held senior management positions in major national companies and has served on various boards, contributing expertise in business strategy, finance, and corporate governance. César Burga Rivera is an economist from Universidad del Pacífico and holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance and Investments from The George Washington University. He has over 30 years of experience in banking, corporate finance, investment, and business management in Peru and abroad, and has served on the boards of various organizations, including Petroperú.

Daniel Cabrera Ortega has extensive experience in the hydrocarbons sector, where he held management positions at the La Pampilla Refinery. He specializes in strategic planning, management control, financial evaluation, and project development, with experience implementing tools to improve efficiency and corporate governance.

Víctor Andrés Belaúnde Gutiérrez is a lawyer from Universidad de Lima and holds a Master of Laws from The George Washington University. He specializes in regulation, socio-environmental issues, institutional relations, and public administration, and is a consultant for international financial institutions and a university professor.

With these appointments, professionals with extensive experience in the financial, energy, business, legal, and corporate governance fields are joining the team.
