General Manager of PETROPERU inspects progress of the works in the Conchán Refinery

The general manager of PETROPERU, Carlos Barrientos, made an inspection visit to the facilities of the Conchán Refinery this morning, where he noted the progress of the construction and implementation of important works.

After meeting with the workers, Barrientos visited the control panel and the refinery facilities where he verified the operation of the vacuum and primary distillation units, as well as the progressive replacement of twelve electric pumps, of which nine are already installed.

Continuing with the visit, the senior official, accompanied by the deputy manager of the Conchán Refinery, Gerardo León, and technical staff, toured the new laboratory, which has a 99% progress in its construction. Soon it will be one of the most modern in the country thanks to its state-of-the-art infrastructure that will allow the tests to be carried out safely for personnel and under controlled conditions.

He also visited the high level of the refinery where the fuel storage tanks are located and where two new tanks of 110 and 160 thousand barrels each are being built. Also, in the middle level, the construction of two tanks for the storage of gasoline, with a capacity of 60 thousand barrels each, has been concluded

Subsequently, the entourage went to the sales plant, where it verified the process of dispatch of fuels in the seven automatic islands and the progress of the Terminal Automatization System, which will allow to control the dispatches from the control room, the which also has a closed television system, and whose progress is 93%.

In the area of the port terminal, they toured the new effluent treatment plant, which is in the commissioning stage, this important project allows to treat the wastewater from the refinery to comply with environmental standards.

Finally, they visited the waiting area for transporters of the sales plant, recently enabled in front of the refinery, where between 250 and 280 tank trucks arrive daily, enabling this space has allowed us to provide a better service to our customers, so That continues with its implementation
