Lower proportion fire at Talara Refinery was immediately controlled

At 10:15 am today, Wednesday, November 5, there was a minor fire in the Vacuum Distillation Unit (UDV3) of the Talara Refinery, which was immediately controlled by the company's firefighting personnel.

During the execution of the Contingency Protocol, our unit operator was affected, with minor injuries, which were immediately attended by medical personnel from the refinery, being transferred to a local clinic, being out of danger.

The incident did not record significant material damage and activities at the refining complex continue to run normally. The causes of the event are the subject of investigation.

The Talara Refinery has a contingency plan for the timely attention of this type of incident and inform the competent authorities.
