Ninacaca Sales Plant reports progress of 50%

The construction of the new PETROPERU Fuel Sales Plant in Ninacaca, Pasco, reports a 47.77% progress. This was reported by the manager of Social Management and Communications of the state oil company, Beatriz Alva Hart, during a work visit in which he met with local authorities.

The community president, Emilio Yantas Mosquera, participated in the activity; the district mayor, César López Huere, district councilors and representatives of the construction company OBS, in charge of construction. On behalf of PETROPERU, in addition to Alva Hart, the Deputy Manager of Social Development, Tomás Flores and Company officials were present.

At the beginning of the meeting, Luis Valer, from the Engineering Management Department of PETROPERU, presented the situation analysis of the project and the operation of the new plant. Among the main achievements in the construction phase, we have not registered any accident; while priority has been given to the local workforce, which reached 77.67%, benefiting the inhabitants of that district in the labor aspect.

For his part, Alva Hart reaffirmed his commitment to continue working for the development of the area; along the same lines, the sprinkler irrigation project to be implemented by 2020 in the framework of the Community Relations Plan was recently presented. Subsequently, a guided tour was held that brought together the Regional Governor of Pasco, Pedro Ubaldo Apolinar, regional, local authorities, media and clients from the central region of the country, who received information about the project from PETROPERU.

The regional governor recognized the importance of the work, since - he said - will decentralize the fuel dispatch. For his part, the president of the Pasco Taps Association, Miguel Baldeón, stressed that this plant is a priority to guarantee the supply of fuels in Pasco, Junín and Huánuco. While Tomás Flores reaffirmed the commitment of the state oil company with the hiring of local labor and promoting the development of the region.
