Petroperú and ProInversión Report on Extraordinary Measures and Financial Mechanisms Decreed by the Executive Branch

Regarding the implementation of the extraordinary measures and financial mechanisms decreed by the Executive Branch to strengthen the country's energy stability, Petroperú and ProInversión communicate the following to the public, the market, and sector stakeholders:
-
Fiduciary Management and Absolute Transparency: In strict compliance with Emergency Decree No. 003-2026, Petroperú reaffirms its full support for having all financial mechanisms, trusts, and resources generated under this regulatory framework structured and administered directly by ProInversión. This corporate governance model guarantees complete traceability, efficiency, and strictly technical use of funds for both the country and creditors.
-
Priority: Domestic Supply. The funds managed under the leadership of ProInversión have an unavoidable purpose linked to securing crude oil purchases, sustaining the nationwide logistics chain, and avoiding any risk of fuel shortages that could affect the population and productive sectors.
-
Immediate Operational Collaboration: To ensure the rapid execution of these mechanisms, the Senior Management and Board of Directors of Petroperú, acting as strategic partners, make a public commitment to optimize internal processes and immediately provide all information and operational support required by ProInversión.
-
Reorganization Underway: This transparent and ring-fenced financing strategy aligns with the objectives of the ongoing promotion and financial restructuring plan.
In this context, Petroperú, in its capacity as a strategic State-owned enterprise, continues to direct its actions toward strengthening the country's energy supply chain, ensuring operational continuity and timely supply nationwide, reinforcing good corporate governance, and consolidating the company's financial sustainability.
For its part, ProInversión exercises its role as the technical entity responsible for leading the process, within a framework of institutional independence and respect for the competencies of each institution.
-
Both institutions reaffirm that the process is strictly technical, not political, and is aimed at restoring self-sustainability to Petroperú while protecting Peru's energy security.
