Petroperú carried out first response and cleanup work at the inoperative Well 383 of Lot VI in Talara.

- Immediately upon learning of the appearance of production fluids (water, crude oil, and sludge) in the area of Well 383 - Lobitos (inoperative) in Lot VI, located in the Lobitos District, Talara Province, Petroperú activated the contingency plan stipulated in the Petroperú protocol.
- Unfortunately, residents of the Lobitos area initially prevented access by specialized teams, delaying response to the incident and increasing the risk of environmental damage.
- The Peruvian National Police (PNP) authorities have been notified to conduct investigations (verification) to determine the true cause. The well valve has been tampered with, along with the perimeter fence being violated. This is also to ensure order and facilitate cleanup efforts.
- As of today, Tuesday, July 8, the affected area is 95% clean, following work carried out by the company's specialized personnel. Work will continue until the area is completely clean.
- Finally, Petroperú reiterates its commitment to environmental protection and good relations with the communities affected by the company's operations.
