PETROPERÚ carried out the fourth free medical campaign in Satellite City

As part of its social commitment, PETROPERÚ carried out its fourth and last free medical campaign of 2019 in the Satellite City, where it benefited 800 Talara residents with limited economic resources.

Patients received specialized care in general medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology, dentistry, pulmonology, physical therapy, nutrition, laboratory and medications, based on their diagnosis. The event took place in the Urbanization Sacobsa.

This important initiative is part of the commitments of the Local Development Support Program, of the Community Relations Plan of the Environmental Impact Study, of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project, which is committed to a better quality of life for the residents of the oil city from of access to specialized medical services at no cost.

Four thousand beneficiaries

For 2019, PETROPERU has scheduled four free medical days to positively impact 3,500 Talara locals. However, the great response of the population and the commitment of the Company to improve access to quality services in health to more Talara locals, will close the year with more than 4,400 people benefited exceeding 25% of what was projected and achieved during the 2018.

Attention to fishermen

Likewise, and as part of its social commitment with the main interest groups and thanks to a strategic alliance with the Health Center II, Carlos Vivanco Mauricio, PETROPERU held a free health and vaccination day for the benefit of 200 artisanal fishermen from Talara and your families.

During the day, staff of the center vaccinated against diphtheria, whooping cough, measles, tetanus, hepatitis B, seasonal influenza, polio, pneumonia, seizure cough, mumps, among others, children under five years.

For their part, adults were able to make use of the services of visual measurement, discarding diabetes and anemia, obstetric revision (for women over 50 years old). They also received prevention talks and had access to free membership to the Integral Health System -SIS.

In this way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to increase the population's access to health services and to the promotion of a culture of prevention and protection against diseases through vaccination.
