Petroperú clarifies that it is not subject to any bankruptcy proceedings

Petroperú S.A. informs the public of the following:
- Petroperú has not requested nor is currently subject to any insolvency proceedings, whether ordinary or preventive, before the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) or any other competent authority.
- To date, the company has not been notified of any request to initiate insolvency proceedings before Indecopi, and according to its contracts, the appropriate course of action in cases of payment default is direct negotiation or arbitration.
- As a strategic state-owned enterprise, Petroperú faces a challenging financial situation, which is being managed through an orderly process of operational, financial, and administrative reorganization, aimed at restoring its sustainability and efficiency.
- Any dispute or claim filed by third parties does not automatically constitute or imply the opening of insolvency proceedings, in accordance with the General Law of the Insolvency System.
- Petroperú rejects alarmist or inaccurate interpretations that could mislead markets, employees, or the public, and reiterates its commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and the public interest.
- The company will continue to promptly report, through official channels, any relevant events in accordance with applicable regulations, reaffirming its strategic role for the country's energy security and its commitment to responsible and technically sound management.
