Petroperú presents a proposal to diversify the energy supply of service stations in the south of the country through CNG

Petroperú, through its Gas Management division, presented its commercial proposal for service stations in southern Peru to incorporate Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) into their fuel offerings. This initiative aims to diversify their businesses, serve new market segments, and expand supply options for users.

Petroperú emphasized that incorporating CNG presents an opportunity for operators to broaden and diversify their product offerings, complementing the fuels they currently sell and providing their customers with greater supply alternatives. The company also noted that Petroperú positions itself as a strategic partner for service stations interested in participating in this market.

Petroperú currently serves more than 14,000 residential customers, 32 businesses, and 19 industries in Arequipa, Moquegua, and Tacna through six regasification plants that contribute to the energy supply of southern Peru. This operational experience supports their commitment to promoting CNG, a market in Peru with over 350 stations, primarily concentrated in Lima, supplying more than 344,000 vehicles in the national fleet, thanks to its economic and environmental advantages.

Among its main attributes are lower operating costs compared to other fuels, high safety standards in its storage systems, and reduced emissions—characteristics that have favored its adoption in various regions of the country.

These perspectives were shared during the presentation "Your Gas Station, Your Growth: Invest in a CNG Station," held as part of an event organized by the Peruvian Association of Gas Stations and Service Stations (AGESP) in the city of Arequipa. The event brought together business leaders and professionals from the hydrocarbon sector to analyze business opportunities and energy market trends.

With this participation, Petroperú reaffirms its role as a strategic ally of hydrocarbon sector operators, putting its experience in natural gas at the service of the development of a broader, more competitive and decentralized CNG network in the country.
