Petroperú reports net profit of US$121 million at the close of the first half of 2026

At the close of the first half of 2026, Petroperú recorded a net profit of US$121 million, reversing the US$278 million loss reported in the same period of 2025. This improvement reflects the effect of measures implemented to control costs, strengthen financial discipline, and enhance the performance of its operations.
The company also obtained an operating profit of US$337 million, EBITDA of US$453 million, and increased cash flow from operating activities, reaching approximately US$410 million before interest and taxes. Among the main factors explaining this performance are the higher margins obtained between crude oil and refined product prices, driven by the evolution of the international market; the reduction in operating, sales, and general expenses; and the greater contribution of oil blocks X and Z-69 to the company's results and EBITDA.
At the end of June, the working capital deficit stood at US$1.427 billion, compared to US$2.296 billion recorded in December 2015, representing a reduction of US$869 million. While challenges related to liquidity and working capital financing persist, this improvement demonstrates progress in strengthening the company's financial position.
Petroperú continues to implement efficiency, austerity, and active liquidity management measures, prioritizing payments related to the supply of crude oil and products, the continuity of its operations, and the timely supply of the domestic market.
These results represent progress in Petroperú's stabilization process and support its commitment to responsible and transparent management aimed at progressively restoring the company's sustainability.
