Petroperú reports on PN2 platform in Peña Negra

Regarding the presence of oily fluid around the PN2 platform of Peña Negra in Talara, Petroperú reports the following: 

1. This morning, at approximately 7 a.m., the presence of oily fluid was noticed around the PN2 platform, located in the Peña Negra area. Immediately the First Response Plan and the execution of the corresponding actions were activated, with specialized personnel and teams, to attend the event.
2. As part of the established protocol, the company has been informing and coordinating with the authorities of the sector, such as the Environmental Evaluation and Control Agency (OEFA), the Supervisory Body for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin) and with the Captaincy of the Port of Talara (DICAPI), in accordance with the provisions of current regulations.
3. Likewise, the possible causes that caused the event are being analyzed and reviewed, in order to take the corresponding operational measures.
4. The company has controlled the situation and will continue to monitor the area of influence of the platform. Reaffirming its commitment to caring for the environment and transparency in its operations.
