The Petroperú Board of Directors, led by Oliver Stark Preuss, held the first decentralized meeting of its tenure at the Talara Refinery, where it also conducted an inspection visit of the industrial complex's facilities.

The delegation—which also included General Manager Luis Suárez Carlo—toured the tank yard, the control room, the Flexicoking Unit (FCK), and Pier 2, verifying the operational status of the units.

As part of the visit, officials confirmed the completion of scheduled inspection and maintenance work on the FCK and reviewed the progress of start-up procedures, which involve a phased return to operation in accordance with established protocols.

Once stabilized and fully operational, the FCK will enable the processing of refining residues into higher-value products, including gasoline, diesel, and LPG. It will also produce flexigas, which can be used as fuel for the refinery’s furnaces and boilers, as well as for power generation.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the refinery’s laboratory—one of the most modern and best-equipped in the country, accredited by the National Quality Institute (INACAL). There, they learned about the processes and controls that help ensure the quality and safety of the fuels marketed by Petroperú.

The Chairman of the Board also held a meeting with the workforce, highlighting the importance of continuing to work toward strengthening the company and achieving sustainable management. In this context, he reiterated: "Petroperú must become a solid, sustainable, and profitable company, capable of generating the results needed to meet its obligations. We are going to strengthen Petroperú and make it a sustainable company for the long term."

In this way, Petroperú reaffirms its institutional commitment to transparency, continuous improvement, and the strengthening of the company's strategic management.
