Petroperú strengthens its preventative measures in anticipation of the arrival of the Coastal El Niño phenomenon

As part of its preparedness for the impact of the Coastal El Niño phenomenon projected for 2026, Petroperú is reinforcing its prevention and response plans for its main operations nationwide.
The company is implementing an action plan for each of its operational facilities, which includes structured planning for the supply of crude oil and inputs, as well as the implementation of measures aimed at guaranteeing the normal supply of fuels nationwide.
These actions include technical inspections of critical infrastructure, preventive maintenance of drainage systems, review of essential equipment, and verification of electrical and backup systems, all of which will be carried out within the framework of budgetary availability.
Furthermore, coordination meetings will be held with regional governments, municipalities, and state entities to identify risks and joint prevention actions.
These activities are part of Petroperú's commitment to responsible and comprehensive management of its processes, contributing to ensuring the timely supply of fuel to the entire population and productive sectors of the country.
Petroperú, through its Rainfall Committee, will constantly monitor weather conditions and maintain continuous communication with competent authorities to safeguard people, its operational infrastructure, the environment, and energy security.
