Petroperú strengthens the operational capacity of the Piura Plant for the benefit of the northern region

Petroperú has implemented significant improvements at its Piura Plant, increasing its operating capacity and optimizing customer service times in the northern region of the country. This modernization is part of the corporate strategy of continuous improvement to provide more efficient and high-quality service.

The main innovation is the implementation of a new loading arm, which will reduce liquid fuel dispatch times by approximately 50%, streamlining the flow of tankers and increasing operational efficiency. In addition, a new dispatch point exclusively for regular diesel has been activated, allowing for faster response to demand in this segment.

Likewise, Dispatch Isle No. 2 was converted to handle biofuels (B5S50 diesel and regular diesel), ensuring a smoother and more flexible operation, in line with current market standards. These improvements reinforce the strategic role of the Piura Plant within Petroperú's national distribution network, consolidating its position as a key logistics center for fuel supply in the regions of Lambayeque, Cajamarca, Amazonas, San Martín, and surrounding areas. Its geographic location also allows it to act as a vital alternate center for meeting demand in the north of the country.

The Piura Plant has international certifications ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), which support its commitment to safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.
