PETROPERU trains young men of Iquitos in welding courses

As part of its social responsibility program, PETROPERU, through an agreement with SENATI, trained 18 young men from different communities near the Iquitos Refinery in the "Metallic Structure Welder" Occupational Module.

The welding course, which had a total of 415 teaching hours, is carried out due to its high demand, which is why it is considered a good economic option for young people. In this line, PETROPERU evaluates the possibility of taking the course at an advanced level.

Petroperu's Sub-Manager of Social Development, Tomás Flores Noriega, encouraged the students to move forward to improve their capabilities. "This is only the first step, we must continue to specialize to aspire to better job options. Never forget that we must be every day a better version of oneself, "he said at the closing ceremony.

On the other hand, Mr. Mitchell Chávez Mendoza, Head of Management Control of Selva Refining, on behalf of the Sub Management, told them that "with these studies they have obtained capacities and this is their passport to the labor world, now it is your time, it is time to show the region and the country how much they are worth; Young people, give the best of each one of you!"

In this way, PETROPERU -as part of its social responsibility policy- confirms its commitment to strengthening the capacities of the communities within its area of influence.
