Petroperú will recognize the winners of the 2024 Copé Award

Petroperú will hold the ceremony to recognize the winners and finalists of the XXIII Storytelling Biennial and the IX Essay Biennial of the 2024 Copé Award, one of the most important literary competitions in the country. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 27 at 7:00 p.m., in the auditorium of the Petroperú Cultural Center (Av. Enrique Canaval Moreyra 150, San Isidro). Admission will be free.

During the ceremony, the awards will be given to the authors who obtained the first three places in the short story category and the first place in the essay category, as well as to the finalists and honorable mentions of this edition.

The winning works will be published by the Ediciones Copé label and will be part of Petroperú's book distribution plan, which includes the implementation of libraries in vulnerable areas of the country, within the framework of its commitment to access to culture and the promotion of reading at the national level.

The Copé Award, organized by Petroperú since 1979, is considered one of the most prestigious literary competitions in Peru and Latin America. Its short story and essay biennials have the participation of renowned national and international juries, which guarantee the rigor and academic level of the selection of the winning works.
