Social peace is restored in Chapis after visit by the Premier and the Minister of Energy and Mines

The visit of a Multisector Commission led by the President of the Council of Ministers, César Villanueva and formed by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Francisco Ísmodes, senior officials of various ministries and PETROPERU to the communities of Chapis and Santa Rosa, in the district of Manseriche, Loreto, fulfilled its objective of talking with the residents and reestablishing bonds of trust that allow restoring public tranquility in the area.

This was reported by the Manager of Social Management and Communications of PETROPERU, Beatriz Alva Hart, who explained that the dialogue held by the high authorities of the Executive allowed to listen to the presentation of the needs of the communities, as well as to identify several opportunities for improvement in matters of health, education, sanitation, productive projects and rural electrification.

This way, it was possible to recover social peace in the community of Chapis, and the officials who had arrived in previous days to report sectoral advances and prepare the meeting in that area returned to their places of origin.

Likewise, the delegation supervised the delivery of water and food by PETROPERU to the community of Santa Rosa and conducted a health campaign with dental care, treatment of anemia and other endemic conditions in the region.

As can be remember, this work visit, scheduled for yesterday, could not be carried out because of bad weather. Despite of this, it was finally decided to make a new and successful flight today. Thanks to this, it was possible to open new channels for communication and dialogue with the aforementioned communities.

This activity is part of the work carried out by PETROPERU for the articulation and support to the efforts of the different sectors of the State to resolve the requirements of the communities located in the most remote places of the Peruvian Amazon.
