The General Shareholders' Meeting appointed Edgar Zamalloa as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroperú
The economist has experience in public management, economic policies, and corporate relations.
The General Shareholders' Meeting (GSM) of Petroperú agreed to appoint economist Edgar Leonidas Zamalloa Gallegos as the company's new Chairman of the Board. The appointment is effective as of today, March 7, 2026.
The GSM also approved his appointment as an independent director of the company. Julio César de la Rocha Corzo and Miguel Alberto Flores Bahamonde were also appointed as independent directors.
Carlos Adrián Linares Peñaloza and Carlos Augusto Villalobos Dulanto were appointed as non-independent directors.
Zamalloa has extensive experience in public administration and economic policymaking. He has held positions at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Corpac, and Ositrán, and has participated in processes related to corporate and governmental relations, as well as negotiations with multilateral organizations.
