The General Shareholders' Meeting appointed Luis Canales Gálvez as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroperú
It also appointed new directors as part of the process of restructuring the company's new Board of Directors.
The General Shareholders' Meeting (GSM) of Petroperú, meeting in universal session, appointed Luis Alberto Canales Gálvez as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective November 15, 2025. Luis Canales is a petroleum engineer from the National University of Engineering and holds a Master of Business Administration from ESAN. He has extensive professional experience in companies in the hydrocarbon sector, such as Petroperú, Petromar S.A., and Petro-Tech Peruana S.A., as well as in public institutions like the Provincial Municipality of Talara and the Talara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, where he has held managerial and executive positions.
As part of the Board restructuring process mandated by Law No. 32103 and Emergency Decree No. 004-2024, the General Shareholders' Meeting also appointed Elba Rosa Rojas Álvarez de Mares, Jesús Valentín Ramírez Gutiérrez, and Óscar Gerardo Zapata Alcázar as new Board members.
