PETROPERÚ was recognized and awarded by the Piura Regional Directorate of Education as the strategic company allied with education in the province of Talara for the development of projects and programs aimed at improving educational practices, in favor of quality education for students and teachers. during 2021.

The award and Directorial Resolution of recognition were delivered by the Regional Director of Education Piura, Elvis Bonifaz López; and the Regional Manager of Social Development of Piura, Roel Criollo Yanayaco at the ceremony for the "Day of Educational Excellence".

The educational authorities of the region, students, teachers and allied companies in the field of each UGEL participated in the activity to be awarded for their achievements and good practices in regional and national competitions; as well as for the different pedagogical interventions that promote quality education and relevance in educational institutions in accordance with regional and national policies, respectively.

On behalf of PETROPERÚ, Fernando Cáceres Rosell, Manager of the Social Investment Department, and Raquel Vilela Mondragón, Head of Talara Social Management participated, who, in addition to receiving the recognition award, awarded two tablets to the students from Talara who won the Floral Games, regional stage, category A: Alessandro Edú Navarro Navarro, from the school 15509 Nuestra Señora de Lourdes; and Carol Mariafe Querevalú Chunga, from the 15031 Monsignor Luis Pacheco Wilson school.

PETROPERÚ firmly believes in education as a factor of social inclusion, which is why it renews its firm commitment to continue its social investment in the Education axis, executing programs, projects and activities in coordination with UGEL Talara.

Its initiatives developed in the oil city are part of the Social Management actions of the state company framed in its Responsibility Program "Educating for tomorrow" and as part of the Education component of the Local Development Support Program of the Community Relations Plan of the Environmental Impact Study of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT).

For quality education

PETROPERÚ has been recognized as a strategic ally of Talara Education 2021 for the following executed programs:

Educating Today for Tomorrow’s Work Program, which has been carried out since May 2021 in favor of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade high school students from five public educational institutions in Talara who will strengthen their skills that improve their career path in three axes: personal brand, generation of entrepreneurship and consolidation of their skills in innovation and STEM.

Comprehensive Higher Technical Education Scholarships, with which 120 outstanding young people from Talara who completed their secondary studies in public schools in Talara in the years 2018, 2019 and 2020 have benefited.

They will obtain their degree on behalf of the Nation in careers that enjoy a high local, regional and national labor demand.

Quality School Programs, which began in March 2019. This project aimed to improve teaching and learning in the areas of communication and mathematics through the training of teachers and directors of primary education. In 2021, the Quality Schools Program was terminated, benefiting 52 educational institutions (21 from Talara), managing to strengthen the skills and knowledge of 62 directors, 407 teachers and 11,107 students.

Delivery of Educational Packs. PETROPERÚ delivers packages with school supplies to public primary and secondary educational institutions in the province of Talara, to serve teachers and benefit collaborative work in the students' classrooms. This 2022, 18 primary level Educational Institutions will be impacted, 289 packs will be delivered, benefiting 7,378 students and 294 teachers from the Pariñas district.

Mi Profe Program. Training program designed and implemented to guide and educate Talara students who are in their 4th and 5th year of high school in Talara schools, in making decisions regarding the choice of their professional career, sharing various tools and strategies that provide support and additional information at this important stage of their lives.
