“Paremos la Olla” contributed to the implementation of soup kitchens in Talara

“Paremos la Olla” contributed to the implementation of soup kitchens in Talara

The "Paremos la Olla" social program that PETROPERÚ implemented in the district of Pariñas, in Talara, culminated with the awarding of the ten social organizations that stood out in the evaluations carried out during the training period for sustainable self-management and safe food practices in soup kitchens.

The recognized soup kitchens were: Divino Cautivo de Ayabaca, Luis Romero Agurto, Santa María Reyna, Santa Rosa de Lima III, Sarita Colonia and Sarita Colonia III, from Talara Alta; Felipe Santiago Salaverry and Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe from Ciudad Satélite; and San Vicente de Paúl and Virgen de Guadalupe, in the North Cone.

The delivery to the beneficiaries of an industrial kitchen with three burners, pots with a capacity of one hundred liters, industrial frying pans, aluminum ladles, skimmers, among other kitchen utensils, was carried out at the headquarters of each of the aforementioned popular kitchens, with the participation representatives of PETROPERÚ, the Provincial Municipality of Talara and the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion – MIDIS.

It is important to mention that this initiative was carried out in strategic alliance with the Provincial Municipality of Talara, through the Human and Economic Development Management and the Social Programs Sub-Management, jointly selecting the 20 participating soup kitchens based on the following criteria: level of intervention need, vulnerable beneficiary population (poverty and extreme poverty) and administration of allocated resources.

During the development of the program, the leaders of the beneficiary soup kitchens were part of a four-session training in order to strengthen their capacities for self-sustainability, the self-generation of their resources, knowledge for safe food management and design of healthy menus. and rich.

Likewise, they received a supply of food from PETROPERÚ, allowing them to ensure food for their beneficiary population for approximately five months, as well as cleaning material and biosafety items.

With the “Paremos la Olla” program, PETROPERÚ reaffirms its commitment to Talara through the search for food security for the most vulnerable population, thus contributing to improving their quality of life.
